MIAMI -- Two more people have died of confirmed cases of swine flu in Miami-Dade County, just one day after Broward County health officials reported the first death there from the illness.
According to the Miami-Dade County Health Department, the deaths of a 31-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man were confirmed Thursday to be related to swine flu.
The deaths are the second and third in the county to be attributed to swine flu after a 9-year-old Miami boy died from the illness in June.
Miami-Dade County has reported 493 confirmed cases of swine flu.
On Wednesday, the Broward County Health Department reported that county's first death from a confirmed case of swine flu. Michael Waldfogel, 58, of Davie was found dead in his Davie home on June 24.
