MIAMI -- As if food and wine prepared by some of the best in the business in enough, the Food Network Wine and Food Festival is adding an awards show to the winning mix.
The Food Network Awards will be held on Saturday night at the Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami Beach and is a must see event in itself.
The awards show will be hosted by famed chef Emeril Lagosse and is drawing Hollywood A-list actors like Catherine Zeta Jones, who will be a presenter at the Food Network Awards.
Categories include: The One Food You Must Eat Before You Die, Best New Food Technology or Gadget, Top Food Lovers Destination, and Food Network Hall of Fame -- Lifetime Achievement Award.
Following the presentation, the network will host an after party for show attendees.
Wine and food will continue to be favorites for those attending the festival's long list of events.
The festival will also offer a diverse selection of wine seminars for both aficionados and novices alike.
Properties like Caymus Vineyards, Far Niente Winery, Perrier-Jouët Champagne, Louis Roederer Champagne, Château Haut-Brion, Château Margaux, Château d'Yquem, Château Cheval Blanc and Maison Louis Latour will host wine-tasting seminars.
On Saturday, Feb. 24 and Sunday, Feb. 25, the festival's signature event, the Grand Tasting Village will no doubt satisfy your senses.
The American Express Grand Tasting Tents will also host cooking demonstrations and book signings by some of the biggest names in the industry.
Kids will also have the opportunity to share in the fun with the Kidz Kitchen culinary seminars geared towards young aspiring chefs on Saturday and Sunday and led by Food Network's Giada De Laurentiis, Bobby Flay, Emeril Lagasse and Rachael Ray.
