BOCA RATON, Fla. -- State officials say the canker crisis may be creeping back into South Florida citrus trees.
Several grapefruit, orange and key lime trees in three Boca Raton properties tested positive for canker Tuesday.
It was the first time since last July that canker has been detected in the city.
The state's anti-canker program is hinging an April 16 hearing.
Nearly two million trees have been destroyed under the eradication program since 1995.
