BSO Says Gunman Demanded Money, Shot Owner For No Apparent Reason

TAMARAC, Fla. -- The owner of a Chinese restaurant was shot and killed during a robbery Sunday night, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.
It happened about 10:15 p.m. at the Hong Kong City restaurant, located at 5301 North State Road 7.
According to the BSO, a man with a gun walked into the restaurant and demanded owner Wai NG to hand over cash from the register. After making his demand, the man shot NG, 28, for no apparent reason and fled the restaurant with an undisclosed amount of money.
Paramedics pronounced NG dead at the scene.
