Florida Lottery Offers Better Chance Of Winning $1 Million, Officials Say

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Who wants to be a millionaire?The Florida Lottery is bringing back its Millionaire Raffle. Twelve people have the chance to win up to $1 million.Lottery officials explained that players who have the first 12 numbers drawn will each receive the $1 million cash prize. The players that hold the next 25 winning numbers will each receive $100,000, and the next 200 winners will each receive $10,000.The game will be called Firecracker Millionaire Raffle because the drawing will be held on July 4.Tickets go on sale May 18 and will be sold through July 3. Sales may end early if the limited number of raffle tickets sells out fast, lottery officials said. Last year, the raffle set a lottery industry record selling in record time.The chances of winning $1 million are 1 in 125,000.
