Fort Lauderdale Mayor Spreading Bigotry

The time has come for Fort Lauderdale's mayor to step down.
Local 10 believes Jim Naugle's ongoing abrasive style, along with this week's public tirade, renders him ineffective as a public servant.
Instead of implementing policies to combat health and safety threats such as AIDS, the mayor used his position to spread bigotry.
This week, the mayor aligned himself with a local religious leader who has also in the past outraged the community with his controversial comments.
To be sure, there are people who support Naugle's anti-gay rhetoric, but that does not validate Naugle's abrasive style from a man elected to represent all the people.
Local Ten feels that Mayor Naugle should forfeit the remaining two years of his term.
That's our take on things. Let us know what you think.
