MIAMI -- A 30-year-old father accused of beating his son for bringing home bad grades bonded out of jail Wednesday night.
Loscar Rodriguez was arrested Tuesday on charges of aggravated child abuse.
According to Coral Gables police, his elementary school-age son went to the nurse's office Monday and complained that it hurt to sit down because his father had hit him with a belt.
A school counselor called police, and officers took pictures of the boy's bruises, police said.
The Department of Children & Families was notified and spoke to Rodriguez, who admitted he hit his son because of bad grades, police said.
As he was released from jail, Rodriguez said he felt he was treated unjustly for his actions.
