2 Accused Of Trying To Rob CVS Store

Police Say Pair May Be Responsible For Other Pharmacy Robberies

POSTED: Friday, October 19, 2007

Police might have a break in a string of pharmacy robberies throughout South Florida.

North Miami police on Thursday arrested two men suspected of attempting to rob a CVS store at 600 NE 128th St.

Calix Green and Andre Holmes are charged with attempted armed robbery and loitering after the pair was found roaming the parking lot.

Police received an anonymous tip that the pharmacy robbers were planning to strike the CVS. When officers arrived, they confronted Green and Holmes, who admitted that they had guns and were going to rob the store, according to police.

Police said the pair fit the descriptions of the two men who have robbed more than a dozen CVS or Walgreens pharmacies since May.
