Doctor Charged With Drug Trafficking
Dr. Alan Glen Schwartz Arrested In Undercover Sting

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- A Fort Lauderdale doctor is out on bond following his arrest for trafficking drugs.
Dr. Alan Glen Schwartz, an internal and pulmonary medicine physician, was arrested in an undercover sting by Fort Lauderdale police.
Narcotic officers were tipped by an informant that Schwartz was willing to buy the drugs hydrocodone and morphine off the street.
A meeting was set up for Wednesday, Oct. 24, where an undercover detective met Schwartz in a parking lot of the 3200 block of Federal Highway to purchase more than $300 worth of pills.
Schwartz was charged with two counts of trafficking hydrocodone and one count trafficking morphine. His bond was set at $825,000.
