MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. -- Supporters for the man accused of being an associate of the so-called dirty bomber are making their voices heard in South Florida.

Dozens of people gathered at the Krome Detention Center on Monday to defend Adham Hassoun (pictured). The Sunrise computer programmer was picked up last month on a charge of overstaying his visa.
Some of his supporters are accusing the government of an anti-Muslim bias.
"There's no law when it comes to us. There is no constitution. There is no law. There is no protection -- nothing," said Samad Nassiri.
"Does he have a strong passion for his belief oh yes but to the point where he would kill people? Oh no," said Debbie Gilliam.
Hassoun and alleged dirty bomber Jose Padilla met at a Sunrise mosque, according to investigators. Hassoun may have given Padilla some of his earliest training in the Islamic faith.
Hassoun will remain at the Krome Detention Center for at least another week.
