Arrest Made In Vietnam Vet's Shooting Death

30-Year-Old Accused Of Killing Sober House Co-Owner

POSTED: Monday, March 24, 2008

Broward Sheriff's Office homicide detectives have arrested a man in connection with the January robbery and fatal shooting of a 60-year-old Vietnam veteran outside the residential substance and alcohol abuse recovery facility he co-owned.

After a two-month-long investigation, detectives arrested Kino Bartholomew on March 21 in connection with the death of Richard Entriken. Bartholomew, 30, is charged with first-degree premeditated murder.

Detectives said Entriken was leaving the First Step Sober House, 450 SW Second St., on Jan. 26 when Bartholomew and two other men approached him in the parking lot, robbed him and shot him.

Entriken, a recipient of the Purple Heart medal, lived in Sunrise with his wife.

The search continues for the other two men.

Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
