Foxy Brown Agrees To Plea Deal
Rapper Tells Local 10 She's Ready To Move On With Life

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Rapper Foxy Brown told Local 10 on Thursday she was ready to move on with her life and so she agreed to a plea deal with Broward County prosecutors stemming from her February 2007 arrest following a salon scuffle.
The 28-year-old rapper returned to a Broward County courtroom Thursday to agree to the plea deal with her new attorney present, one day after her former attorney asked to be withdrawn from the case because of a conflict.
Under the terms of the plea agreement, Brown will be placed on six months of probation, is required to complete 15 hours of community service, and must write letters of apology to her victims in exchange for serving any jail time. As well, she is required to take an anger management course that she has already completed and must pay a fine and court costs.
"I'm excited, humbled, blessed that it's behind me," Brown told Local 10 after entering the plea. "I'm just ready to get on with my life. You know, I've been coming to Florida for 14 years recording. I have an incredible amount of support here and I just want to get it behind me and move on."
According to a Pembroke Pines arrest report, Brown was applying beauty products in the bathroom when a Queen Beauty Supply employee told her the business was closed and it was time to leave. She refused and threw hair glue at the employee, the report said. Brown then spat on the man as he called 911, staining his shirt, the report said.
Brown, whose real name is Inga Marchand, pleaded not guilty to charges of battery and resisting arrest. Her albums include "Ill Na Na" and "Chyna Doll."
The incident is not completely behind her, though. The owner of Queen Beauty Supply has filed a civil lawsuit against Brown.
