Young Performer Dies In Car Crash

MIAMI -- A young, aspiring rap singer was killed Wednesday when the car he was riding in crashed into a truck on the 79th Street Causeway.
Police said that Joseph Gabriel Gonzalez, whose performing name was Tha Joker, was killed when a Jaguar, driven by his record producer, Anthony Rodriguez, 24, collided with a large delivery truck.
Officers said that the two-door sports car was traveling east on the causeway when the driver apparently lost control of the car, and it crossed over the median into westbound traffic.
Gonzalez, who was from Miami Beach, was killed instantly, according to police. Rodriguez and the driver of the truck are both hospitalized in serious condition.
