Police: Man Stabbed Mother Multiple Times

23-Year-Old Sought By Miami-Dade Police

Police say Jovanny Zamora stabbed his mother about four or five times.

MIAMI -- Miami-Dade police are searching for a 23-year-old man wanted in connection with the near-fatal stabbing of his mother.

According to police, Jovanny Zamora got into an argument with his mother Tuesday and stabbed her about four or five times. Police said Zamora fled in a 2001 gold sport utility vehicle with Florida tag X27-RAW.

Police said Zamora is bipolar and stated he wanted to kill himself and others before fleeing the scene.

Zamora, who has a tattoo that says "Flagler" on his arm, is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees him is asked to call police.
