School Counselor Accused Of Raping 12-Year-Old
Police Say Man Assaulted Girl In Principal's Office
School counselor Curtis Gordon Jr. (pictured), 21, will face a judge today accused of sexually assaulting the girl while she attended summer school at Smart Charter Middle School in Lauderhill.
According to the police report, the assault took place in the principal's office and police believe that it wasn't Gordon's first inappropriate action.
"The victim, a 12-year-old girl, had been approached by him back in June during a summer program (when) he touched her leg in a way that made her feel uncomfortable ... Approximately 30 days later he brought her into an office at the school when he raped her and then we've learned that he apparently raped this girl again," said Broward school district representative Hugh Graf.
Channel 10 News also has information that Gordon has a lengthy arrest record. It's not known why he was allowed to work with children.
