A dive team for the Broward Sheriff's Office searched a Pompano Beach lake Monday for evidence in the killing of Sgt. Chris Reyka.

The lake was located at 801 N. Powerline Road, just blocks from the Walgreens where Reyka was fatally gunned down.

Reyka was shot and killed in the store parking lot Aug. 10 while checking on a suspected stolen vehicle.

The BSO has been searching for the weapon used in Reyka's killing. Divers previously searched nearby canals in December and April but turned up nothing.

Monday's search was called off at about 1:30 p.m.

A $267,000 reward is being offered to anyone with information leading to an arrest.
