WEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. -- Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a multi-car accident in the southbound lanes of Florida’s Turnpike in West Miami-Dade.Two people were injured in the afternoon accident near Southwest 8th Street, authorities said.A total of three cars were involved in the accident, investigators said.A driver had to be extricated from a car after it flipped over and had a light pole fall on it, authorities said.The driver was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital, officials said.Another person was taken to the hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.
