PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. -- The widow of a popular Palm Beach County schoolteacher is suing the company that distributes the gun that was used by her husband's killer.

Nathaniel Brazill, 16, used a .25-caliber Raven handgun (pictured) to kill Barry Grunow. Widow Pam Grunow says that the distributors should have known that the weapon was unsafe and lacked features that would have prevented a minor from using it, and that is why she is suing the company.
"This is not a case to get guns off the market. This is not a case against the NRA. This is a case against Saturday night special," said Grunow's attorney Bob Montgomery. "It's used statistically more by juveniles in criminal activity and in mayhem, killings and consequently has no business on the market."
Similar suits against manufacturers of weapons have not been successful.
John Renzulli, attorney for the distributor, says the company is not at fault. He blames Brazill and a family friend who left the gun out.
"There's no defect in this gun. The only defect of this gun is when it was put into the hands of somebody who intentionally shot the plaintiff in this case," Renzulli said. "The person at fault here is in prison."
Pam Grunow and Brazill are both expected to testify at the trial.
