Car Crashes Into Restaurant

A car crashed into a restaurant in Fort Lauderdale Monday morning and the driver was taken across the street to Broward General Medical Center.

According to police, the female driver veered off S. Andrews Avenue near 16th Street and took out a parking meter before slamming into the patio of the Copper Kettle restaurant.

No one inside the restaurant was injured.

Details on the driver's condition or what caused the accident have not been released.
