MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- Hundreds of students at Florida Memorial University had to vacate their dorms again Sunday as crews worked to clean up a serious mold problem.
Students took photos of the fungus growing on shower stalls and on walls inside one of the dorms, and notified the Miami-Dade Health Department.
About 330 students were forced out Saturday as health inspectors assessed the growing problem.
The university released this statement: "Robinson Hall has been inspected by the Health Department and remains open while immediate attention is being made to address some recommendations. The safety and comfort of our students are our primary concerns."
The health department will re-evaluate the situation on Monday.
