Defense Finishing Up In Grunow Gun Trial
Gun Distributor Accused Of Contributing To Teacher's Murder
POSTED: 6:03 p.m. EST November 6, 2002
BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. -- The defense has called its last witness in a court case that's putting a gun on trial.

Valor Corp. is defending itself against charges that it distributed a gun that was unsafe, defective and lacked features that would have prevented a minor from using it.
The case stems from the murder of teacher Barry Grunow by one of his students. Nathaniel Brazill shot Grunow to death two years ago in a West Palm Beach classroom.
Emmanuel Kapel, a nationally known firearms expert, was Valor Corp.'s final witness on Wednesday. Kapel refuted the accusations against the gun company made in the suit by Pam Grunow, Barry Grunow's widow (above, left).
The defense is expected to rest soon, possibly as early as Thursday.
