The Department of Children and Families caseworker who made headlines because she was assigned to monitor missing 6-year-old Rilya Wilson filed a plea of not guilty Thursday on charges unrelated to the girl's disappearance.

Deborah Muskelly Deborah Muskelly (pictured, right) claims she's innocent on 41 counts of official misconduct and theft.

She's accused of working as a substitute teacher during hours she was supposed to be working for DCF.

The judge in the case believes a deal will be worked out before the case goes to trial.

The charges are based on Muskelly's work records over a two-year period when she was allegedly being paid to work both jobs at the same time.
