BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. -- State Sen. Mandy Dawson may be fresh off a re-election victory, but she's still facing prescription drug-fraud charges.

On Wednesday, Dawson (pictured, left) entered a drug treatment program sanctioned by a Broward County court.
If she completes the yearlong pre-trial intervention program, the charges against her could be dropped.
Dawson was arrested in October after allegedly changing a prescription for Lorcet 10 from 60 to 160 pills. She was prescribed the painkiller following back surgery.
