KEY WEST, Fla. -- Funeral services have been scheduled for a Monroe County sheriff's deputy who was killed Wednesday in a crash with a tractor-trailer on U.S. 1 in the Keys.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened at about 12:20 p.m. at the 62 mile marker. Deputy Nick Pham, 38, died when his unmarked police cruiser and a semi-trailer collided near Conch Key.
A viewing will be held for Pham on Monday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Palm Woodlawn Funeral Home at 27100 Old Dixie Hwy. in Naranga. His funeral is scheduled for Tuesday at noon at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Cutler Bay, sheriff's office officials said.
Pham had worked for the sheriff's office since September 2004. His wife, Jackey, and his children live in Homestead, according to the sheriff's office.
