S. Fla. Woman Organizes Bus Trip To Inauguration

A local charter bus company has been bombarded with calls from people who want to travel to Washington, D.C., for President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration next week.

Beverly Williams made fliers to organize the trip, which leaves Monday morning and comes back late Tuesday. Passengers will sleep on the bus Monday night.

So many people wanted to be involved that the trip grew from one charter bus to three.

Williams' phone has been ringing off the hook, and she checks her e-mail constantly.

"I felt like this was a mission that I needed to do," Williams said.

She said she cannot fit all of the people who want to take the trip onto the buses.

The trip does not involve any hotel stay or any frills, but some South Florida residents who scored a spot said that's fine.
