This week, President Barack Obama opened the door for Cuban-Americans to freely visit their loved ones in Cuba. Local 10 believes it's time for Congress to make free travel possible for all Americans.The argument to maintain travel restrictions to punish the Castro government is certainly not new. But that punishment has not worked.What may well work is the kind of people-to-people contact that helped topple the Berlin Wall.Barring citizens from traveling freely is a rule for a dictatorship, not a democracy.Lawmakers: The momentum is growing. Lift the ban on travel to Cuba for all Americans.That's our take on things. Let us know what you think.
