HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. -- The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a driver who fired two shots at another car on Interstate 95 on Wednesday.
Police said a 42-year-old Hallandale Beach man was driving on the entrance ramp to southbound I-95 from Hallandale Beach Boulevard when a Ford Focus tried to merge into his lane. The man was unable to brake and allow the Focus in, police said.
Once he was on I-95, the Focus pulled up beside the man's vehicle, and he heard two loud bangs before the Focus pulled away.
When he stopped, the man noticed two bullet holes in the left rear side of his car.
Police are searching for a silver, four-door 2005 Ford Focus. FHP said the alleged victim did not get the Focus' license plate number, but the car did have a specialty tag. The driver of the Focus was a white man between 25 and 35 years old with a crew cut.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477).
