Plane Lands On Sawgrass Expressway

SUNRISE, Fla. -- There was a surprising scene on a major highway in Broward County when a pilot was forced to make an emergency landing.

An experimental plane touched down on the southbound lanes of the Sawgrass Expressway in Sunrise Sunday, pretty close to oncoming traffic.

Once on the ground the plane went off the highway and hit a light pole.

Neither the pilot nor anyone on the ground was hurt.
