Police Seek Armed Robber

MIAMI -- Police are searching for a gunman who was caught on surveillance video robbing a Miami-Dade convenience store Monday afternoon.

The robbery happened at about 3 p.m. at a convenience store in the 10700 block of Southwest 40th Street.

The video shows a man pointing a gun at a female clerk's head. He forced her to open the cash register while he talked on a cell phone. Then, he grabbed cash from the register and escaped.

The robber is described as a man in his 40s with a medium build. He was wearing black clothing, a black baseball cap and black sunglasses, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477).
