MIAMI BEACH, Fla. -- Local 10 has been among those raising questions about a Miami Beach police officer involved in two deadly shootings in one week. Questions are certainly appropriate, but a rush to judgment is not.
In the hours after the incidents involving Officer Adam Tavss, some attorneys were already laying blame, and protestors were demanding punishment.
But none had all the facts and evidence, which will likely take weeks to compile and analyze.
The actions of all officers involved are under investigation by internal affairs and by the state attorney. Over time, the evidence will reveal what actually happened and whether the officer was at fault.
A rush to judgment will not.
That's our take on things. Let us know what you think.
