OAKLAND PARK, Fla. -- An Oakland Park man was electrocuted Sunday in a friend's back yard.
Investigators said Thankim Giang was trying to free some mangos from a tree with an aluminum pole when he came in contact with a high-voltage wire.
His wife tried to help and grabbed onto him, but then she too was shocked. She was not seriously injured.
A neighbor was able to call 911 and perform CPR on the man.
Rescue crews arrived and rushed Giang to Holy Cross Hospital, where he died.
