Firefighter Treated For Heat Exhaustion

A firefighter with Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue who was helping to extinguish a house fire in Hallandale Beach was taken to a hospital on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, the man is among a group of Broward County firefighters who were helping Hallandale Beach Fire Rescue to combat a fire at a home near Northwest Fifth Street and Northwest Fifth Avenue.

BSO said the firefighter was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital for treatment of heat exhaustion.

No further details were immediately available.
