MIAMI -- A baby giraffe born at Miami Metrozoo had her first doctor's visit Friday, but she does not have a name yet.The female giraffe was born Tuesday morning to Kita, a 25-year-old giraffe, after a 15-month gestation period. The newborn is the 42nd giraffe born at Metrozoo. 
Photos: Slideshow Kita already has given birth to 11 babies at Metrozoo.Veterinarians performing the baby's neonatal exam Friday determined it is a female that weighs 135 pounds.The baby will be on display this weekend at Miami Metrozoo.Miami Metrozoo is holding a contest to name the baby giraffe. People can submit their ideas for the baby's name to the Metrozoo by e-mailing info@zsf.org by Nov. 20.The giraffe keeper staff will choose the winning name, which will be announced on Nov. 30.
