Sex Offender Accused Of Luring 'Teen'

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- A registered sex offender has been arrested after police said he tried to meet and have sex with a 15-year-old girl, who was really a police detective.
David Forget, 27, of Plantation, has prior arrests and convictions for similar sex crimes and is a registered sex offender, according to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department.
Police said that Forget was talking online to an undercover Fort Lauderdale detective whom he thought to be a 15-year-old girl. Forget told the "teen" he wanted to meet up to have sex, asked her to wear provocative clothing and set up a time and place to meet, according to police.
Forget showed up to the meeting place at 2 p.m. Sunday, and police arrested him.
Forget faces charges of traveling to meet a minor to accomplish a sex act and using a computer to solicit or lure a child for a sex act.
