Sex Offender Arrested On Suspicion Of Luring Teen
Registered Sex Offender Used Computer To Solicit A Child For Sex, Police Say

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- The Fort Lauderdale Police Department, in conjunction with the South Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, arrested David R. Forget, 27, on charges of traveling to meet a minor to accomplish a sex act and using a computer to solicit a child for a sex act.
According to investigators Forget, who is a Plantation resident and a registered sex offender, contacted an undercover Fort Lauderdale detective on the Internet who was posing as a 15-year-old female. Forget expressed his desire to meet her to engage in a detailed sex act. The conversation continued as Forget asked the “teen” to wear provocative clothing and to meet him at a specific location at a specific time.
On Sunday at approximately 2 p.m., Forget arrived at that location where he was arrested.
Forget has prior arrests and convictions for similar sex crimes.
