Man Claiming To Have Gun Robs Bank
Police Seek Fort Lauderdale Bank Robber

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Police in Fort Lauderdale are searching for a man who robbed a bank on Friday morning.
According to the Fort Lauderdale police department, the man lingered in the lobby of the Sun Trust Bank in the 500 block of East Las Olas Boulevard at about 9:30 a.m. until all the other customers were gone.
Then, police said, the man gave a teller a note saying he had a gun and demanding cash. The teller did not see a gun, but the man kept his hand in his pocket, police said.
Once the teller handed over the cash, the robber fled on foot. He has not been found.
Police described the robber as a man between 30 and 50 years old with a receding hairline and possibly a goatee.
