MIAMI -- A woman was arrested Thursday, accused of calling in a fake bomb threat to delay a plane.
Claudia De La Rosa, 31, is charged with calling in a false report of a bomb. Police said she sent an e-mail and called in a threat in Spanish to Miami International Airport, falsely saying there was a bomb on an American Airlines plane to Honduras.
In an arrest report, Miami-Dade police said De La Rosa called in the threat in order to delay her boss' plane. Police said she was late to work, which was going to make her boss late for his flight, so she was trying to delay the plane.
It took police four hours to search the entire plane and all of the luggage. No bomb was found.
De La Rosa is being held in jail on $7,500 bond.
