DANIA BEACH, Fla. -- A man who appeared on "America's Most Wanted" after being accused of trying to rape a 13-year-old girl was arrested last week in Dania Beach.
Deputies from the Broward Sheriff's Office arrested Robert Speights, 35, Friday morning at his Dania Beach home.
Speights, a registered sex offender, was featured on "America's Most Wanted" after an incident in Georgia. BSO said Speights was accused of tricking a 13-year-old girl into going with him into a vacant home and then trying to rape her.
The warrant in that case was no longer active, BSO said. Speights was wanted in Broward County on a drug charge and a traffic-related warrant.
