MIAMI -- A prisoner is back in police custody after Friday moning, after he escaped while being transported to the Miami Dade County Pre-Trail Detention Center.Anrry Morales-Leiba, 30, escaped while a detective was getting him out of the car at the detention center located at 1351 NW 12th Street. Although Morales-Leiba was restrained with flex handcuffs, he head butted the officer and ran away on foot.The detective was treated at the scene and is expected to be OK.Officers set up a perimeter using helicopters and K-9 units.An ankle tracking device Morales-Leiba was wearing lead officers into several neighborhoods.“They woke my up around 6:30 in the morning. An officer came by and asked if they could go inside,” resident Alexander Lovora told Local 10's Constance Jones.Morales-Leiba was captured about two hours after his escape at Northwest Second Street and 25th Avenue.He has an extensive criminal history and faces several felony charges.
