Cooper City, Fla. -- The wild pig captured in a residential neighborhood Thursday morning is someone's pet.
After seeing the black and white pig on Local 10 News at 11pm, the owner contacted the SPCA Wildlife Care Center in Fort Lauderdale to say the pig's name is Charlotte and she belonged to a high school student in Cooper City.
Apparently the animal got loose earlier in the day and was roaming the neighborhood looking for food.
The SPCA contacted Local 10 on Friday and reporter Roger Lohse has arranged for the owner to retrieve the pig from the trapper who caught it.
