FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- South Florida investigators are trying to find out if they have a serial killer in their custody.

Henry Lee Jones (pictured) was nabbed by police in Fort Lauderdale and charged with the murders of an elderly couple in Tennessee. Police say his victims,
Clarence and Lillian James, were found beaten and stabbed to death in their home.
Jones has also been linked to at least one other death in Florida, police say. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement says he is charged in the Aug. 27 killing of
Carlos Perez of Wilton Manors. The victim was found dead in a Melbourne motel room. Police say Perez was a co-worker of Jones'.
Investigators say they have since learned a credit card taken
from a double murder scene in Bartlett, Tenn., was used in the
Melbourne area. They tracked him to his home in the Fort Lauderdale
area, finding out he used to live in Melbourne and that he had
traveled to Tennessee.
The FDLE says police agencies in other parts of Florida have
also contacted the agency about possible links between Jones and
murders in their areas.
