Sex Offender Gets 15 Year Prison Sentence

MIAMI -- A man caught on tape fondling a 12-year-old girl in a department store will spend 15 years in state prison.
Bayardo Rafael Chamorro, 40, who is a registered sex offender, was sentenced Friday for violating probation.Chamorro was caught molesting the girl on a surveillance camera in July at a Sears store in Coral Gables. The girl's father was shopping nearby as Chamorro groped the girl three times.Chamorro man was on probation for a previous molestation case. He was arrested twice in 2000 for sexual offenses against children. He has prior arrests for soliciting prostitution and drunken driving.In July, Chamorro, who is Nicaraguan, was one of 27 foreigners targeted in South Florida as part of a national immigration sweep of sexual predators.He will be deported when he completes his sentence.
