Sen. Mandy Dawson Cleared Of Fraud Charges

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- A state senator who was sentenced to drug rehabilitation has finished her sentence, and the charges against her have been dropped.

State Sen. Mandy Dawson finished her last drug rehabilitation class Thursday. She was arrested last October when she tried to fill a prescription for painkillers that police said was altered.

A judge dropped fraud charges against Dawson after she completed the court-sponsored program.

Dawson is serving her second term in the Senate.
