BOCA RATON, Fla. -- The FBI will be sending a profiler to Palm Beach County to help in the investigation of a murdered nanny.

The body of Monica Rivera-Veldizen was found Monday near the home where she lived and worked.
Deputies had searched the area in the Boca Del Mar community with helicopters and police dogs, but found nothing until a passer-by noticed a pair of shoes sticking out from a pile of palm fronds. Rivera-Veldizen came to the United States several months ago from Peru, then took the baby-sitting position so she could stay in Florida and work on her English.
Palm Beach deputies say Rivera-Veldizen appeared to be targeted,
and may have been under surveillance for some time. Deputies have
increased security in the neighborhood because of concern she may
have been the victim of a sexual predator.
She had been missing since last Friday evening.
