MIAMI -- It should become clearer today whether the World Series Champion Florida Marlins are any closer to a stadium deal.
Today is the deadline imposed by team President David Samson for a deal to materialize.
The city of Miami has suggested a site near the Orange Bowl, but money matters are the issue. The fish will put in $137 million. Miami-Dade County's share would be $73 million in tourist tax dollars. But that still leaves $115 million uncovered.
