Turnout Huge For Hip-Hop Weekend

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. -- The hip-hop weekend on South Beach over the Memorial Day weekend is over. The turnout was huge this year and the problems weren't.

The whole event was fairly smooth. However, there were some tense moments on Saturday night when a fight broke out at the Clevelander and Miami Beach police responded in riot gear.

On Miami Beach, 197 people were arrested. About 90 percent of those were for misdemeanors.

Compared to 2001, which was a rough weekend, violent crimes were down.
