Lightning Sparks Fires In Broward

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. -- In west Broward County, firefighters are battling a big brushfire that has flared up again.

It was sparked by lighting near the Everglades just west of the Sawgrass Expressway, north of Interstate 595 in an area that was not easy for firefighters to reach.

Bolt Sparks Fire In Davie

Lightning also set some trees on fire in Davie, but the fire has since been doused.

The flames were burning close to some stables near 73rd Avenue South of Griffin Road.

There was no major damage.
