Police: Stolen Hat Leads To Homicide

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Fort Lauderdale police officers arrested a homeless man today who is accused of killing another homeless man over a hat.
Detectives say Gary Fields, 46, killed the unidentified man because he allegedly stole his hat.Officers found the man's body behind a trash bin at 1115 S. Federal Highway near a Blockbuster Video. A 911 call from an unidentified man led police to the body.Police officials said investigators found signs blunt trauma on the dead man's head.
