Commissioners To Discuss Teele's Position At Public Meeting

POSTED: Friday, October 1, 2004
UPDATED: 10:24 am EDT October 1, 2004

A public meeting will be held today at Miami's City Hall to decide how to fill a suspended commissioner's seat.

Teele was arrested in late August.
Commissioners must decide how to replace Arthur Teele, who Gov. Jeb Bush suspended after police charged Teele with assault for allegedly trying to run a police officer off the road.

Commissioners can either appoint a replacement or choose to hold a special election.

The meeting will be held at 3 p.m.
