Michael Hernandez is accused of killing his classmate and friend in a school bathroom.
The courts have appointed accused teenage killer Michael Hernandez a legal guardian.

Hernandez's attorney feared his client's interests might differ from his parents because they're expected to face a civil lawsuit of the death of Hernandez classmate Jaime Gough.

A judge appointed Miami attorney Richard Hirsch to oversee Hernandez's legal rights.

Prosecutors say Hernandez killed Gough in a bathroom at Southwood Middle School in February.
